We are strongest together
YYC for Women is a student organization seeking to bolster the critical efforts of the Women’s Centre of Calgary.
About Us
Our Mission
We are four students studying rhetoric in online environments at the University of Calgary.
In order to utilize our knowledge of rhetoric and draw attention to such a critical issue, we established a non-government organization model which we have called, YYC for Women, that seeks to serve Calgary’s most vulnerable women by drawing attention to their tangible and emotional needs.

At the core of the organization is an unwavering drive to uplift women from poverty, domestic violence, and isolation, while creating a welcoming home for those wishing to foster community.
We hope our training in rhetoric and social media will help draw attention and increase donations to support the holistic services the Women’s Centre provides.
